IPL 2024 schedule has been fixed to run from March 22 until the end of May by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). But Lok Sabha elections are to be held in the country next year. No date has been set yet for these elections. So this could affect the IPL also. Therefore, the full IPL schedule has yet to be announced. If smooth sailing, IPL 2024 can be hosted from March 22 to end of May.

Information has also emerged about the foreign players. Besides Josh Hazlewood, most of the Australian players will be available for the IPL. Apart from Australia players, those of South Africa, Afghanistan and New Zealand will also camp with the entire IPL.

The IPL 2024 auction will be held in Dubai on December 19. Everyone has already prepared for that. Before the auction, the teams also announced their lists of retained and released players.

There will be 333 players taking part in the IPL auction this year. These 10 teams will be able to buy up a grand total of 77 players. Thirty of these slots are reserved for foreign players. On these players 263 crores will be spent.

Venue

No official information about the first game of IPL 2024 has yet been released. But media reports say the match may be held between Gujarat Titans and Chennai Super Kings on March 22 at the DY Patil Stadium, Mumbai.
