WPL (women IPL) is going to start soon now. Its auction process has been done today itself. And the best players have been selected here. If we talk about teams, a total of 5 types of teams have selected their players by bidding in the auction.
Initially, a base price was set for all the players, and then gradually the team owners started bidding more and more to make their favorite players a part of their team. 3 players were taken in Delhi Capital which includes 2 Indian and 1 Australian player. Australian player Annabel Sutherland was kept at the base price of 40 lakhs, which was later taken at the sold price of 2 crores, which is the biggest bid to date in this WPL.
Apart from this, 9 players were taken in Gujarat Giants which includes 2 Australian players, 6 Indian and 1 Scottish player. In this too, an Australian player Phoebe Litchfield was made a part of the team at a sold price of Rs 1 crore from the base price of Rs 30 lakh. Among the Indian players, only Priya Mishra was made a part of the team at double the base price of Rs 10 lakh i.e. at a sold price of Rs 20 lakh. All other players were taken at their base price only.
Mumbai Indians have won a total of 5 players in this WPL auction, in which Shabnim Ismail has proved to be the most expensive player because this South African player was kept at the base price of 40 lakhs, but after the auction, his price was sold for 1.20 crores. Which is the highest in this team. All other players are Indian players and they have been made a part of the team at their base price only.
RCB has taken a total of 7 players, which includes 2 players from Australia, 1 from England, and 4 Indian players. All the players in this team have been sold at their base price only. In this, only Ekta Bisht, who is an Indian player, was sold at double the base price of Rs 30 lakh i.e. Rs 60 lakh.
A total of 5 players have been taken through auction in UP Warriorz, out of which the highest sold price is of Vrinda Dinesh. He is an Indian player and his base price was fixed at only Rs 10 lakh. There are 4 Indian players and 1 England player in this team.
